Und in der Papierbeilage zu Magazin 162 werden bereits die Anwender- und Kreativ-Wettbewerbe angekündigt.

Aber Spass bei Seite:

Wie einige bestimmt mitbekommen habe, bin ich eine der Korrekturleser. Ich lese immer alles. Und dann gibt es ab und zu Artikel, da denkt man sich: "Noch eine Seite, hört das nie auf?". Und dann gibt es Artikel wie der in der Papierbeilage zu Magazin 162. In dem Erhard seine Reise zur diesjährigen PLatariada (und natürlich sein Aufenthalt dort) beschreibt. Da freut man sich über jedes Wort, jede Spalte und jede Seite die man lesen darf. Danke Erhard, danke das Du solche Artikel schreibst. Hoffentlich beglückst Du uns noch oft mit solchen Artikel.

Auf keinen Fall. Ich habe Reiseberichte immer gerne gelesen. Auch damals schon als drei meiner Landsleute den Osten Europas erkundet haben mit ihrem Kleintransporter. Und der Reisebericht von Shiuming Lai damals von seiner Reise zum Schützenhaus in Lengenfeld hat sogar dafür gesorgt, das ich's erste Jahr das ich da war unbedingt auf dem Alkoven schlafen wollte.

Reiseberichte sind immer willkommen. Insbesondere wenn sie von jemand wie Du geschrieben sind.

Die Story aus England von dem ST-Usertreffen dahingegen...

Im beiden Vorworten des Sondermagazins "Hard-/Softwarewettbewerb" fehlt der Hinweis, wo man den Abstimmzettel hinschicken soll (so steht es auf dem Abstimmzettel). Wo soll ich den hin senden?

Ich habe vorige Woche einen Zylinderkopf für unser Göfchen bestellt, der hat von Lettland bis Köln 4 Tage gebraucht. Mal sehen ob das Magazin das toppen kann. 😁

BTW: Reise- / Messeberichte finde ich auch ganz unterhaltsam. Das macht die Inhalte abwechslungsreich und es sollte ja auch für jeden etwas dabei sein. 🙂

Ich habe am Samstag von Estland bis nach Hause nur 5 Stunden gebraucht. 😁

If so, something went wrong on my side and I have no explanation that no-one (including myself) noticed it.

I used the unpacked versions of almost all files and put them onto four disksides. Currently I have no clue why your Game got lost, since I also edited the description (used only the short Version for the Diskette), turned it from ASCII into ATASCII and converted it into a COM File with a Textreader.

I am at Work atm and have to take a look what went wrong as soon as I am home again. Maybe I used or sent a preversion of the disk instead of the final version?

(Smartphone does not want to accept english Abs turns everything into German words, which is extremely annoying.)

It is not "my" game 😉 It is F#ready's game, I only made some graphics for it. So sad that he does not get any attention in the paper supplement and voting ballot. He spent so much time working on it.

your game = your has a double meaning here, I meant the plural form, several persons involved in making the game;

german: du, dein Spiel (singular) - english: your game german: ihr, euer Spiel (plural) - english: your game or is this wrong ?

Think for the online voting it should be no problem to add / include it. But the missing printed documentation for it is really sad and escpecially that it is missing on the voting paper. Think there is nothing we can do about it now. Printing a single sheet of paper and sending it with snail mail to the ABBUC members would be much too expensive, but maybe we can AT LEAST add it to the online version of the special magazine paper supplement ?

Plus we should be able to send an email to all members of which we have an email address.

Personally I think this is quite sloppy especially when I think of the days that I created the paper supplement and dozens of people wanted to review my work over and over again before publication. It seems like this rule does not apply to everyone.... Sorry, I am Dutch, I say what I think 😉

Ich erwarte, dass die meisten von uns online abstimmen werden, wobei das Spiel im Abstimmungsformular enthalten sein wird. Falls ABBUC Stimmkarten in Papierform erhält, denke ich, dass diese Mitglieder telefonisch kontaktiert und nach ihrer Bewertung für Assimilate gefragt werden sollten.

I expect that most of us will vote online, where the game will be included in the voting form. If ABBUC receives paper voting cards, I think those members should be contacted by phone and asked for their voting score for "Assimilate".

I agree that was sloppy, but we still review everything that made it in the magazine twice.

Not checking if the magazine contains everything needed is some sort of "process gap". => Lesson learned

Because Assimilate is not an easy game to understand, detailed instructions are needed. The disk contains only the short version of the instructions.

The titlescreen of Assimilate (with the red and blue figures) is missing an important (at least for me) info: "press any key" because otherwise you will see the title forever and ever.

(When I packed the game with Exomizer -shorter than your packed version- and later tested it, I thought it does not work, because it did not continue loading after the title appeared; took me several stupid tries to find out, that I simply have to press a key to continue. But in the end I put the unpacked version onto the diskette / image since we had plenty of space...)

Can't test the game atm, as I don't have the disk option, but this looks really great. The work you both had with this is visible in this screenshots and the manual pages.

A pitty, that the mistake happened. Hope there will be a good solution for the voting. But I am with Montezuma, I think most people are voting online. Some people are voting at the JHV, but they can get new voting sheets direct at the meeting.

What a disappointment when I saw my game missing from the paper magazine. I've spend quite some spare time to finish the game before the deadline and wanted it to be exclusive for ABBUC (did not show anything on AtariAge or anywhere else).

Anyway, I 'm ok with including it in the on-line version of the paper supplement and let ABBUC decide how to handle the rest. I don't care and I don't want to waste time or words on this mistake.

Heute Copy-Party. Ich wusste schon immer, dass man sich auf Disketten mehr verlassen kann als auf die Verfügbarkeit von Downloads 😀

Tja, heutzutage ist Analog (physisch) halt doch wieder irgendwie schneller als "Digital" 😁

It was the main reason for me, coming here to the forum to ask a question about this. I have been playing this game for a few hours now, and I am absolutely AMAZED by how challenging and fun it is. I will write my points for this amazing game on the paper. Hopefully more people will do. The game is fabulous!

fully agree!!! Very good game, addictive, and a dynamic, surprising gameplay. Its on the title page of the magazin, but unfortunately the pages on the inside were forgotten.

Hope the electronic voting will have a slot for it.

Perhaps it is an idea to send an e-mail to all Abbuc Members (if an e-mail address is known?) and if people still vote with the 'false' paper, you could give Assimilate the average of the points they gave to the other games? I know that is tricky, but it could be a reasonable solution.

1. People should get a new voting form in their e-mail (and perhaps by snail mail in case you do not have their e-mail address)
2. Online voting could be a good form anyway
3. If people still vote without a vote for assimilate, the solution where you give Assimilate the average result of the other games could be a solution.

I hope this will be fixed as soon as possible. It is a very nice game!

Ich habe gestern Abend den Beginn der Bettzeit nach hinten geschoben um etwas Zeit locker zu machen und bin so dazu gekommen, die erste Magazinseite durchzuschauen. Sehr schöne und mitunter umwerfende Demos.

Perhaps I did not ask it already, but I thought I did... and now I can not find the answer. Is it allowed to share the points you gave to the games? I can remember people did so in the past. I always liked it to see how people voted. But perhaps during Abbuc meetings people decided it would be better not to?

Please let me know! Perhaps it is better to share personal votes, after the final results are known?
